Who this policy covers

This policy describes the CanCom Studio website. We are based in Los Angeles, California and serve clients worldwide. For privacy questions, contact info@cancomstudio.com.

Separate client agreements may describe information handled during a commissioned project. Websites and virtual tours displayed inside this site are operated by their respective providers and have their own privacy practices.

Information and how it is used

  • Direct inquiries. If you email or call us, you choose the contact information, business details, and project information you share. We use that information to respond, discuss your request, and manage the resulting business correspondence.
  • Project briefs. The brief builder can hold your name, email and business details, service selections, budget, timing, and project description in the open page. Reviewing a brief does not send it to the studio. See the next section for details.
  • Website delivery. When you request a page or asset, the hosting provider receives connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser details, and request time. Hosting or security systems may retain logs to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the website; the exact logging depends on the hosting configuration.
  • Embedded content. Third-party previews receive requests from your browser when they load. Their collection is described below and in the Cookie Policy.

The current CanCom website does not include an account system, online checkout or advertising pixel. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in an inquiry.

Website analytics and performance

On our Vercel-hosted website, Vercel Web Analytics helps us understand which pages are visited, referral sources, and broad device and location trends. Vercel Speed Insights measures loading speed, visual stability, and responsiveness so we can improve the browsing experience.

We do not send project brief or application contents, contact details, CVs, or photos to these tools. We remove query strings and URL fragments from reported page URLs. Vercel uses request-derived, time-limited identifiers for aggregated visitor counts rather than advertising cookies.

Our reporting callbacks discard analytics and performance events when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Embedded providers have their own behavior. Read Vercel Web Analytics privacy information and Speed Insights privacy information for details.

Preparing and sending your project brief

While you prepare or review a brief, entered details stay in the page’s working memory. Clicking “Send my project brief” submits them to CanCom’s server, where they are saved in our private Supabase database and used to prepare an email notification for the studio. We do not store your draft in the site’s cookies, local storage, or session storage. Refreshing or leaving the page can discard an unsent brief; your browser may have its own autofill or page-restoration behavior.

Copy places the brief on your clipboard. Download saves a text file wherever you choose. You control these copies and whether to send them to anyone. If you use a browser assistant to fill or review a brief, that assistant may receive the information you ask it to handle under its own privacy terms.

Joining the team

The careers form prepares your name, contact details, location, selected skills, availability, portfolio link, message, and any CV or optional photo links in the open page. Preparing or reviewing an application does not send it. The site does not save these details in cookies or local storage.

Clicking “Submit an application” sends your reviewed details and document links to CanCom’s server. When file uploads are available, selected CVs and optional photos upload directly to private Supabase storage as part of submission. Files are not published in a public gallery. If you choose to email your CV separately, you send that message and attach the file in your own email app. Supabase processes saved form data and uploads on our behalf. See Supabase’s privacy information.

We use applications to review your experience, assess relevant opportunities, and contact you about your interest in joining the team. A photo is optional. Please do not include identity documents, financial account details, or other sensitive information. Contact info@cancomstudio.com to ask about an application you have sent or request its deletion.

Providers, embeds, and external links

Resend delivers submission notifications to the studio. These notifications contain only a submission reference and a link to our private dashboard, which requires our team to sign in. Your name, contact details, message, CV, and optional photo are not included in these notification emails; they remain in our private Supabase database and storage.

Hosting, email, and phone providers may process information needed to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or needed to address abuse, protect rights, or secure the service.

Our interactive examples include Matterport, Asmaa Desserts, and Elite Family Medical. When an embedded frame loads, its operator can receive your IP address, browser details, referring-page information, and interactions within that frame. It may use cookies or similar technologies. Some frames load as you browse a page, before you interact with the example.

Information you enter into an embedded website goes to that website, not to the CanCom brief builder. Do not use an example to submit sensitive information. Links to other websites, including Brothers Products and Mirella Dresses, take you to those providers’ own services.

See Matterport’s Privacy Policy and the privacy notices on other linked websites. These providers may process data in countries other than your own.

Cookies and tracking choices

The current site code does not set first-party cookies, add advertising trackers, or save persistent visitor identifiers. This does not mean third-party frames or a hosting provider cannot use their own technologies.

Our analytics and performance reporting honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control as described above. The site has no built-in control for tracking inside third-party frames. Other providers may collect information across visits or services according to their policies and your browser settings. The Cookie Policy explains the controls available in your browser.

Retention and security

CanCom does not receive a brief merely because you create or review it. We receive it when you submit it or send it to us separately. Submitted form details and application files are stored privately. Our API uses a short-lived keyed hash of the connection IP address to limit repeated submissions; the form database does not retain the raw IP address. Copies you download or place on your clipboard remain under your control. Information you send directly is retained as needed to handle the inquiry, manage agreed work, maintain relevant business records, and meet applicable obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and the relationship.

No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Use an agreed secure channel for confidential project material. You can ask us about information you have shared or request deletion using the contact details below.

Questions and privacy requests

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses. These rights can depend on the circumstances and may have exceptions.

Email info@cancomstudio.com with “Privacy request” in the subject and enough detail for us to understand your request. We may need to confirm your identity without collecting more information than necessary. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically arrange a suitable verification method.

Requests about information submitted to an embedded or linked website should also be directed to that operator. Where applicable, you may contact your local data protection authority.

Children and policy updates

This is a business-services website intended for adults, not a service directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

We will post updates on this page with a revised date. Material changes to information handling should be reflected here before the new practice begins, with any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
